Description
Architects of the Western Kingdom takes place at the end of the Carolingian Empire, around 850 AD.
As royal architects, players compete to impress their king and maintain their noble status by constructing various prominent buildings throughout their newly designated domain.
Players will have to collect raw materials, hire apprentices, and keep an eye on their workers.
These are treacherous times.
Rival architects will stop at nothing to slow your progress.
Will you remain virtuous or end up in the company of thieves and smugglers? The objective of Architects of the Western Kingdom is to be the player with the most victory points (VP) at the end of the game.
Points are obtained by building various Buildings and helping to build the Cathedral.
Throughout the game, players will have to make many moral decisions and at the end of the game their Virtue will be judged.
Some underhanded deals may go unnoticed, but if you abuse them, you will be punished.
The game ends once a set number of buildings have been completed.
