In ancient mythology, Endymion was a handsome mortal with whom the moon goddess Selene fell in love and descended to him from the sky every night. Originally a barber shop, Penhaligon´s launched its first fragrance in 1872, Hammam Bouquet. The fragrances were issued regularly from the original shop in Jermyn Street until it was demolished in 1941. The shop disappeared but the company´s fragrances endured and in 1956 Penhaligon´s was awarded a Royal Warrant by the Duke of Edinburgh.
It was launched on the market in 2003.
